Prognosis: poor. Results: sublime!
Surgery was not an option when Misfit, an overweight 3 yr. old Dachshund mix suffering from a ruptured disc visited us the first time. He was not anticipated to ever use his rear legs again. How things have changed - after regular visits for therapeutic massage, leg strengthening and a lot of laps in the pool, Misfit doesn’t just walk, he RUNS up the ramp into our office. Bringing the joy each visit, Misfit makes our week!

R.I.P. Blue
It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of Blue, a cornerstone, inspiration and client favorite here at Two Hands Four Paws. A week never passed without someone inquiring as to his welfare. He was a great, great dog. Our official greeter during his stays with us, he had a gap-toothed smile, a throaty bark and a thunka-thunka tail wag for all. He will be missed.

Helping Change the Lives of Teens and Dogs
Leslie Gallagher McMahon recently spoke in Venice to at-risk teens, their dogs and sponsors in the k9 connection program. k9 connection helps “at-risk teens ages 14 to 18 train homeless shelter dogs in basic obedience, assisting the dogs to develop the skills to become adoptable.” Leslie taught calming techniques, spoke of career opportunities in animal care and even taught the dogs some new tricks. A Visit to Best Friends
Leslie and esteemed oncologist Sue Downing, DVM made a recent trip to Utah to share their knowledge with the staff at Best Friends Animal Society. They helped, they taught, Leslie fed the pigs. Sooey!

Oh, the Gaul of it!
Last month it was the Irish, this month the French. The producers of Acces Privé, a lifestyle show on France’s M6 network spent a full day shooting footage of our staff. The upcoming segment will highlight how Americans care for their pets in ways that are new or unknown in France. Hmmm...Bryan just volunteered to open the Two Hands Four Paws Paris branch. C’est une bonne idée!
